THE THRESH

“I feel him even now. His mouth grows inside my very skull, singing his deadly song and gnawing away at my brain. A constant chewing in my head that threatens his approach.

His servants have crossed through the Threshold and now in these halls they crawl. The hideous mounds of flesh and teeth dragging their way toward me, their flabby wings, ineffective in the gravity, trailing after them.

I'll be delivered to his horrible maw to be devoured for eternity upon eternity, stripped apart atom by atom only to be crushed together again. He has whispered as much to me, ever since he first extended his tendrils into me in that horrible sleep. Now the time has come to take me back across the Threshold

But I will not let it happen. Even again shall I cross those cursed borders, nor should any other. Our species have tread in a world we should never have known, now we will pay for our curiosity and all become one with the Thresh.”

- Final audio recording of Dr. Thaddeus Lone, who perished in the explosion that claimed his Threshold Research Facility.
