LELAND-GATES HOLDING FACILITY

Exploring the Threshold is enormously expensive. To help fund their research, Grace Leland and Alexis Gates were the first to capitalise on its vast emptiness and isolation by establishing a privatised prison, helping to alleviate pressure on the increasingly overcrowded Neoasis Penitentiary. The Leland-Gates Holding Facility, commonly referred to simply as Gates, is a maximum security prison primarily housing inmates with life sentences and history of attempted escapes. Though the facility strives to prioritise rehabilitating its incarcerated towards re-entering a life in society, no prisoner has yet returned to the other side.
